I’m not really sure what to make of China’s latest unwelcome export. It seems the United States isn’t the only country suffering from China’s, shall we say, lax product safety guidelines: gyōza imported to Japan from China has been discovered to contain insecticide. So far 62 people have been poisoned. Way to go, China.
Lead in toys, antifreeze in toothpaste, dumplings made out of cardboard… what exactly is going over there in the People’s Republic? I’m certainly no expert, but it seems to me that this is what happens when profit comes before all else. While China may be ostensibly a Communist country, it really isn’t. Rather, it’s a capitalist economy managed by the state, and when there are no safeguards in place that might interfere with the state’s income, you get… well, you get what we’re dealing with now.

Coming twelve years after director/co-writer James Cameron’s blockbuster hit, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines gives audiences the story they didn’t realize they wanted, returning to future-savior John Connor in the waning days of human civilization and the dawn of the machine era.
